Making Our House a Home With Desenio Prints.

A new home always feels like a new start and moving to Bermondsey has been a great adventure to start the summer. After two years living together in West London Albertine and I decided to pack up and journey to a different part of town. We found a beautiful little maisonette with two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen. Finally we have a proper dinner table and can cook for our friends (our last place was a little cramped so we usually ended up eating in our bedrooms – awful I know)!

The living room has an inbuilt shelf across the wall with a large mirror so when we saw the space we knew it would be perfect for displaying art and photos of the two of us. Having ordered some Desenio prints before I knew how good quality they were and we started browsing for posters. We knew we needed four for the living room and (thankfully for us) we have very similar taste so we were spoilt for choice.
Our colourful Twigger Poster looks great next to our Gold Letter Board and a framed photo of us out to cocktails. As well as the prints along the wall we hung one above our TV. The neutral shade of the Pink Sands Poster and creamy textured border look really chic and complement the grey/green shade of our wall perfectly. For all our of our prints we chose gold frames which looks especially great on the Moroccan inspired Mosaic Fountain Poster.

After a few weekends unpacking boxes, hanging our prints and adding the finishing touches it finally feels like home. I’ve become obsessed with interior shopping and my favourite pieces are this Monsoon Rug, Dunelm Footstool, Maisons du Monde Gold Planter, Sainsburys Gold Cafetiere and H&M cushions.

The yellow chest of drawers came with our flat and at first we were very keen to get rid of it but with some fresh daffodils in a vase and matching yellow cushions on the sofa I think it adds some colour to our front room. What do you think?

I’ve been investing all my spare cash in homeware recently (the rug took some serious saving but was oh so worth it) which has been great for stopping me spending money on new clothes. But… I did use the good weather as an excuse for a few new pieces. How could I not when sandals and sunglasses look so good in this glorious sunshine!!  This gorgeous chambray shirt from the And/Or Collection by John Lewis is my new favourite top for styling with a pair of jeans. If you love boho fabrics, statement earrings & leather details then it’s going to complete your summer wardrobe. You can shop my outfit here…
