Benefit is already one of the most popular beauty companies for a brow wax, and really, the service needs little publicity. Globally, it waxed three million sets of brows last year across its 1,500 stores. As a lady with larger brows I love Benefit but wanted to shout a little louder about their latest brow initiative, Bold Is Beautiful.
During the month of May, Benefit has promised to donate 100 per cent of profits from its brow waxing services globally to charities supporting women and girls. In the UK, where brow waxing starts from £11.50, the American beauty brand has chosen Refuge, a charity which supports women and children against domestic violence, and Look Good Feel Better, a charity to support women suffering from cancer by combatting the visible side effects of treatment.
To give you an idea of the importance of both chosen charities, Refuge helps 3,000 women and children in the UK every day, while Look Good Feel Better supported 14,500 women and teenagers through its workshops, masterclasses and self-help materials last year. As a family member of a cancer patient I can’t express enough how important the work Look Good Feel Better is. Everyone is at their most beautiful when they are feeling confident so combating the visible side-effects of cancer treatment is a really important process for a lot of women and teenagers.
And if that wasn’t incentive enough to get your brows groomed at Benefit, the brand is also throwing in a full size brow volumising Gimme Brow gel, £18.50, with each brow wax booking, just to say thanks. I love my brow gel, photographed here, it’s one of my everyday beauty essentials!
So, if you do need a brow wax during the month of May, make sure your arches are also supporting women and children by booking in at one of Benefit’s 130 brow bars in the UK. I can’t think of a better way to spend your beauty buck. Find out more here: www.boldisbeautiful.com/uk or use the hashtag #boldisbeautiful on social media.
